Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) Program

The federal government is committed to ensuring that, even in this time of extreme uncertainty, no children go hungry. As a part of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act of 2020, money has been allocated to ensure that children who are learning remotely still have access to nutritious food.

Because Horizon Science Academy Denison School participates in Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), all students in our school (who were enrolled prior 9/15/2020)  will receive an EBT payment of $300.

While we do not know the exact date on which these funds will be dispersed, you should receive them prior to the end of this calendar year.

If your family already has an EBT account, these additional funds will be loaded onto your current card. If you do not have an EBT account, you will receive a card for each of your eligible children in the mail*.

*Please note, if you have moved since September 14th, please contact the post office and set up mail forwarding to ensure that you receive your card.

If you received an EBT card last year as part of the P-EBT program, it is likely that these additional funds will be loaded on that card – so do not dispose of it, even if you have exhausted the funds from the spring.

The only role the school plays in the process is providing a list of names of eligible students – which we have already done. Should you have any other questions regarding this, please contact the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services (ODJFS) at  1-866-244-0071.

Thanks again for all you do.

Have a wonderful day.
