Horizon Science Academy Denison
Founded in 2008, Horizon Science Academy Denison is a charter public school that serves roughly 300 students across grades K-8. Horizon Science Academy Denison provides its students with an innovative world class education, rich in math, science and technology focused on preparing students to become bold inquirers, problem solvers and ethical leaders, skill-ready for post-secondary education to meet the challenges of a competitive global workforce.
Our Mission
At HSA Denison, our mission is simple: To foster an environment of inquiry and a love of learning so students are prepared to thrive in a STEM-focused college and world.
We have a culture built on a common set of values, student, teacher, and parent accountability, and high expectations which result in high levels of student achievement. Our administrators, teachers and families have high expectations of our students and students have high expectations of their teachers.

Concept Model
HSA Denison is managed by Concept Schools, an award-winning charter management organization that assists over 40 schools across the Midwest. Since 1999, Concept has built a reputation for providing a wide array of services for its network of schools, including its STEM-focused curricula that has put students in a position to succeed after they graduate high school. It has been around almost as long as the charter school movement and has been a great partner in helping HSA Denison get to the point it is at today.
